Gymnastics Workshops

Our workshops featuring common functional gymnastics movements for athletes and coaches of all levels. Each workshop consists of body weight training to improve performance of specific gymnastics movements found in CrossFit® training and workouts.

Our coaches dissect the movements and focus on the finer details to ensure correct positioning and movement mechanics to safely train and efficiently perform the movements. With two coaches and a maximum of 16 participants, our coach to athlete ratio ensures each participant receives one-on-one coaching regardless of skill level.

WORKSHOP CONTENT

HangStrong offers three workshops each focusing on different gymnastics movements found in CrossFit® workouts. All workshops include a dynamic warm up, core stability and mobility exercises specific to gymnastics movements.

Rings Workshop

Strength
Gymnastics specific drills that build strength and confidence on the rings.

Dynamic Movements
Technique training and progressions to improve transition movements and mechanics.

Handstand Workshop

Handstand & Handstand Walks
Specific drills to improve handstand positioning, base of support and balance. Spotted and unspotted weight transfer exercises to move towards free handstand walks.

Handstand Push Ups
Specific drills to improve handstand positioning, base of support and balance. Spotted and unspotted pushing mechanics to gain or improve athletes handstand push up.

Bar Skills Workshop

Pull Ups or Butterfly Pull Ups
Progressions to gain butterfly pull ups or improve speed and efficiency of existing butterfly pull ups.

Bar Muscle Ups or Toes to Bar
Improve bar muscle up or toes to bar capacity through the use of gymnastics specific drills and progressions.
